AGA Cookshop collaborates with Nottingham Trent University

Two Nottingham Trent University students have designed prints which will feature on AGA Cookshop textiles collections.

Henrietta Styles and Martha Pargiter’s designs were chosen from a selection created by final year textile design students, based on a brief set by AGA earlier this year.  After a tough judging process, the winners were announced before the students graduate this summer.

Both winning designs centred around the biophilia trend of connecting with nature and bringing the outdoors in.  Martha’s concept derived from evidence that appreciation for the outdoors has heightened since Coronavirus, focussing on springtime flowers, nature and wildlife.  She developed wildflowers, insects and foliage to use as elements within a placement and pattern repeat.   Henrietta’s design also has an admiration for nature, with painted plants and flowers inspired by her own photography.

AGA Cookshop Commercial Manager Caroline Smith comments; “We were hugely impressed with the quality, thought and research which went into creating the designs and it was a difficult decision choosing the winners.  Huge congratulations to both Martha and Henrietta – we are looking forward to seeing their designs on our best-selling range of textiles.”

Keep an eye out for the exciting new textiles ranges, which will launch early next year.
