What steps is AGA taking to be a sustainable manufacturer?
AGA Rangemaster is actively working towards being a sustainable manufacturer. We have implemented various measures to reduce our carbon footprint, such as replacing inefficient lighting with energy-efficient LEDs, introducing energy-efficient plant and equipment, and optimizing our manufacturing processes for greater energy efficiency. These efforts have resulted in a significant reduction in our CO2 emissions over the past two years. Additionally, we have committed to becoming carbon neutral by 2050, aligning with global sustainability goals.
How much of an AGA product goes to landfill, and how much can be recycled?
AGA products are designed with sustainability in mind. The majority of our products are made from recyclable materials, with a focus on cast iron components that are fully recyclable. Approximately 85-90% of an AGA product can be recycled. We actively manage waste and seek alternatives to landfill disposal. Working closely with our waste management providers to ensure all applicable materials are repurposed rather than discarded. We aim to minimise waste and maximise recycling and repurposing initiatives aligned to a circular economy.
How important is health and safety to AGA as a manufacturer?
At AGA, the health and safety of our employees is a top priority. The board of Directors place a significant emphasis on ensuring a safe working environment. We have comprehensive processes and protocols in place to minimise accidents and incidents. This commitment to health and safety has fostered a strong safety culture within our organisation.
What reassurance do employees have that AGA is a sustainable place to work?
AGA promotes a culture of sustainability and actively involves employees in our sustainability initiatives. We provide forums for open discussions and encourage employees to contribute their ideas and suggestions. What do you do outside of work?
Outside of work, I prioritize my well-being and enjoy an active lifestyle. I engage in activities like running and participating in marathons. Additionally, I appreciate spending time outdoors and exploring new hobbies like paddleboarding.
